You look at the walls.
What was once white,
now is dark as ink.
Rules cover the walls.
Rules everywhere.
Rules on top of rules.
Exhausting.
What are these rules for?
Should you follow them?
Do they lead to any good?
You calm down.
Focus.
Searching for answers.
You set these rules.
Patiently, you have moulded them over the years.
One by one. Carefully. For a good reason.
But why so many?
Why so strict?
Why to follow them all the time?
Thinking brings up memories.
Memories of people you have met.
Few of them have principles.
Actually, few have ever considered establishing their own.
Actually, few have ever thought that deeply.
So, why should you?
They seem happy.
Successful in life.
... at least on the surface.
So, why make your life so hard?
You well know the answer.
You have set these rules.
For a specific reason.
To be followed.
To be challenged. broken. Though again.
To create clarity. Stability.
To filter in people with similar integrity.
To be happy.
You move on.
