The Avalanche

One day, you throw a snowball down a steep slope.
It disappears into the fresh snow. A sea of snow that had fallen a few days earlier.

The next day, you throw another snowball.
This time, it smashes onto a layer of ice. Ice that formed once the temperature dropped overnight.

On the third day, you try again.
This time, the snowball starts rolling.
Slowly at first. Then faster. And faster. And larger. And louder.

Wow. How?
Magic?
Nature is magical.

A snowball can upset the equilibrium formed over weeks or months.
A snowball can generate momentum.
And momentum can grow into something unexpected.

Intriguing. Exciting.
So much so that you throw another snowball.
Which smashes onto the hard bed of the avalanche.

Silence falls.
The magic has ended.

Nature can be magical. If understood.
